Make yoga your nature

Good Yoga Practice

Some hints and tips to help you get the most out of your yoga classes:

Try not to have a big meal two hours prior to the class;

Try to arrive ten to fifteen minutes early so that you can arrange your mat space and get changed;

Wear loose, flowing clothes, that do not inhibit your movement;

Try not to wear too much jewellery, in particular watches are said to influence the natural biorhythms of the body;

Drink plenty of water during the class;

Work within your own body's ability – it does not matter what anyone else is doing, yoga is not competitive!

Bring a yoga mat (before purchasing a mat please speak to me as there are some mats which are not suitable), yoga brick/block & belt/sash if you have one;

Bring a warm jumper and/or blanket & cushion so you can snuggle up for the relaxation. You can also use the blanket to cushion your knees for kneeling postures or cushion your tummy, chest or back for lying down postures;

Try not to wear socks to avoid slipping when going into the postures;

But most important of all is to have fun, laugh and play... remember we are all learning in our own unique way, including me from you!
