Cookies and IP addresses collected by the Yoga Nature website

We may store information about you using cookies (files which are sent by us to your computer or other access device) which we can access when you visit our site in future. We may also collect your device’s IP address as part of the basic functioning of this website. We do this to allow the website to function properly and to collect anonymous information about how this website is used, through Google Analytics.

Personal Data Collected at the Time of Booking a Yoga Nature Class or Workshop

A certain amount of personal data is collected by us at the time of booking. This is for the purposes of meeting Insurance Company criteria as well as for your health and safety at a yoga class. Health information is also used to tailor sessions to suit your individual needs.

All information gathered by Yoga Nature either on paper or online is treated as confidential and will not be shared with a third party. The only time we will share personal information is with teachers who are covering our classes, and only if we think that information is relevant and again this is for your health and safety.

This data is stored securely. In the case of paper documents, these are stored in a locked box. In the case of electronic data, the files in which this data is contained are encrypted and/or password protected. All data is stored as long as you are an active student with Yoga Nature Sheffield. We will destroy all personal data 7 years after your last class or workshop with us at Yoga Nature.

If you wish to alter any of your data, review how it is used or wish to request its return to you, please do not hesitate to contact us.

How we use your Contact Information

From now on, when joining a Yoga Nature class or workshop for the first time you will be asked to sign a disclaimer on our Registration Form. In doing so you are agreeing to your email and phone number being used by us to inform you of class changes, and other important service updates directly relating to the service you have booked. Further details of how we store and use this contact information follow below.

You may, of course, decline to submit your email, phone number or other personal data to us, which in some cases may mean that Yoga Nature will not be able to provide certain services to you.

Financial Information

We do not hold any financial information about you, but you are named on our computerised accounts files solely for accounting purposes. The only details that we hold on our tax records are your name, the date that you paid, and the amount you paid. This information is kept for 7 years. We do not employ an accountant, and no personal information is normally sent to HM Revenue & Customs or to any other government body requiring information on our income. The only exception to this might be in the unlikely event that we are subject to an enquiry by HM Revenue & Customs.

Yoga Nature Mailing List

Direct marketing emails informing you of new, future or alternative services we are providing are sent through a secure permission-based email system called MailChimp (see their Privacy Policy at www.mailchimp.com). When you purchase a service from us you will be invited by email to join our MailChimp email list. You have the ability to Opt-In at this point, and subsequently subscription preferences may be changed by you at any time. You also the option of opting-out at any time by clicking on ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of any Mailchimp email we send.

Other Email Clients

In addition to our Mailchimp mailing list we sometimes need to send you emails via other email clients such as Outlook or Gmail. Again, these emails contain important information about the services we provide. If you want to opt-out of these emails at any time just reply with ‘unsubscribe’ in the title. However, please note that if you do this you may miss out on important information about changes to classes etc.

Phone Numbers

We may, from time to time, use your phone number to contact you about urgent class changes or cancellations or to inform you if a waiting list place has become available, for example. If you do not wish us to contact you in this way, please inform us in writing. Again, please note that if you do this you may miss out on important information about changes to classes etc.

Emergency Contact Information

Emergency Contact information is collected solely for use in an emergency, should Yoga Nature need to contact your next of kin or give this information to the emergency services.

Yoga Nature is not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from the Yoga Nature website, nor the information or content contained in them. Please remember that when you use a link to go from the Yoga Nature website to another website, our Privacy Notice is no longer in effect. Your browsing and interaction on any other website, including those that have a link on our website, is subject to that website’s own rules and policies.
