Yoga for Everyday People

Free online yoga for everybody

Here is a sanctuary for mindful movement, inner stillness, and everyday awakening. We’re honoured to welcome you.

Yoga for Everyday People was born from a heartfelt realisation: in so many places we looked: magazines, books, DVDs, and online, we rarely saw ourselves reflected. Where was the yoga for the rest of us? For people in all bodies, with busy lives, open hearts, and an honest longing for connection? So, we created YEP: a space where yoga returns to its roots: not as performance, but as practice.

Here, you’ll find both short, themed video offerings and full-length classes designed to guide you into deeper presence, one breath at a time. You are encouraged to listen inward, trust your body’s wisdom, and move in a way that nourishes rather than pushes. Let these practices be invitations, not expectations, as you cultivate sthira and sukha (steadiness and ease), both on and off the mat.

While the early videos admittedly reflect humble beginnings and modest equipment, the intention behind them has always been clear: to offer authentic, heartfelt yoga for real life. The video quality improves as the series progresses, but the spirit remains constant.

Before you begin, please take a moment to watch Episode 2, our Health Disclaimer, or scroll down to the bottom of the page to read the written version. In yoga, awareness begins with care for ourselves and for others.

And one final word of clarity: you won’t find acrobatics, contortionism, or hyper-stylized images here. What you will find is something perhaps more radical: space to slow down, turn inward, and reconnect with your true nature. Whether you’re new to yoga or returning home to it, we’re here to walk beside you.

With reverence and gratitude, Jo and Ben ❤️

Disclaimer: A Gentle Word Before You Begin

Dear friend,

Before you step onto your mat and into your breath, take a quiet moment to truly listen, to the whisperings of your body, the wisdom of your bones, the ebb and flow of your own inner rhythm.

The practices shared here on Yoga for Everyday People are offered with love, but they are not a substitute for the care of a skilled physician. If you are pregnant, healing from injury, living with chronic conditions like high blood pressure, arthritis, or heart concerns, or if something within you simply feels unsure, please seek guidance from your doctor or a well-trained yoga teacher. Or better yet, both.

This path is not about pushing through pain or bending beyond your truth. Yoga is not a performance. It is an invitation to return to yourself, to soften, to explore, and to honour the body you have in this very moment.

There is no shame in resting. There is power in choosing not to do a pose that doesn't serve you. There are always other ways in. And sometimes, the wisest practice is to pause.

Let this be your mantra: “When in doubt, leave it out.”
Listen deeply. Move gently. Practice with care.

With open hearts,
Jo & Ben

Love hearts
